We are devoted to offering an array of classes taught by the best local and NYC-based instructors to enhance your practice on and off the mat. our approach


All of our classes take a lighthearted approach to yoga. Hastings Yoga creates a warm, welcoming environment for yogis of all levels of experience. Classes offer a blend of alignment, thoughtful sequencing and encouragement.

Hastings Yoga is based on the concept of “contemplative yoga”; we seek to integrate the contemplative awareness, better known as mindfulness meditation, and yoga during practice to support presence. It is our belief that practicing contemplative yoga will lead to a fuller experience of life for our students.

Hastings Yoga will support the evolution of your practice with community meditation sessions, “learn to meditate” tutorials and an Occasional Speaker Series, focused on topics of interest to our community.

studio policies




Please arrive to class 10-15 minutes early—we start on time. Please remove your shoes and silence your cell phone upon entering the studio. No food or glass is permitted inside the practice studios. Have fun! It’s only yoga…


All class purchases are non-transferable and non-refundable. All packages and classes are activated on the date of first use (not the date of purchase—though our automated system may require us to manually reactivate your package—so don’t worry, you will get your yoga.)

If you’d like to be reminded that your package is about to expire or that you’re about to use your last class in a package, please make sure we have your email address correct in our system.
Extensions on packages may be granted to those facing unexpected medical complications.

Late Entry & Early Departure

A 10-minute grace period is allowed for late entries, given that:

  • You enter very quietly.
  • You do not disturb anyone or make anyone move when entering.
  • You remain seated in the back of the room until any initial breathing exercises, or seated meditation has finished, and the room is moving.
  • Please defer to the discretion of the Front Desk Staff—they have the best interests of the entire group in mind.

If you need to leave class early, please:

  • Tell the teacher before class begins.
  • Put your mat at the back of the room, near the door.
  • Exit quietly before Savasana (the part where you lie on your back).

Pre Registration

Pre Registration Policies You may cancel any class reservation online up to 30 minutes before the start of the class at no charge. Though we will do our best to accommodate, phone cancellations are not guaranteed. You must be present 5 minutes before the class begins to claim your spot or it may be given to someone that is waiting.
