If you have been overstimulated, wound tight, or simply can't remember the last time you fully exhaled, this evening is for you.
Led by Jen Vagios + Mary-Ann Mastreani, The Deep Rest Experience is an intentionally designed Saturday evening that guides you through a gentle arc of release, without rushing you through any of it.
The evening flows like this:
We begin with Jen leading a slow, grounding yoga flow to release what the body has been holding, with breathwork to help you arrive. Mary-Ann then guides you into a deep yoga nidra meditation to quiet the mind.
Then we pause. Intentionally.
Time to use the restroom, journal if you are called to, and help yourself to light snacks as the room softens around you. No agenda. Just space.
From there, Jen guides you into an extended sound immersion- 40 minutes of deeply restorative sound bath designed to take you somewhere words cannot quite reach.
We close with tea, unhurried conversation, and zero rushing out the door. You'll leave when you're ready and still be home or at dinner by 8 pm.
What's included: light snacks, tea, journal prompts and a take away to remember the evening.

Yoga Nidra, sometimes called Yogic Sleep, is a guided somatic meditation experience intended to guide the practitioner into a deep state of relaxation. In this state, the parasympathetic nervous system (the rest and digest response) kicks in and quiets the stress response, leaving the practitioner feeling (finally) totally rested. It has been said that one 30-60 minute practice of yoga nidra is like getting 2-4 hours of deep sleep.
All you have to do is be willing. You lay down, get totally comfortable with blankets, props and any other support you need, and be guided into a deep rest.

Organize a group of 4-7 kids, determine a backyard/location of your choice, + voila! You provide the kids, I provide the yoga.
Best suited for ages 3+.
We can do 4, 6, or 8 week sessions. Or we can do a one time event for larger groups.
